Pago, the Romanian app with almost 9 million utility bills paid worth over 1 billion RON were paid, announces the launch of ”Smart Job” (ro. “Treabă Deșteaptă”) campaign, through which users of the app can earn the payment of bills for one year. The campaign will take place between 22.11.2021-31.01.2022 and 10 prizes will be awarded, worth of 60.000 RON.

All Pago users who make payments with a Visa card can participate in the contest, both those who are already using the app and those who will try it for the first time. At least one payment with a Visa card payment required to register, whether it’s an invoice payment, RCA or travel insurance, a mobile top-up, or inviting a friend to use the app. Additional chances can be accumulated through multiple payments or other actions in the app.

“We are pleased that in partnership with Visa we can once again offer Pago users the opportunity to earn money for paying bills. We had a similar campaign at the end of 2019, which was highly appreciated by users of the app. We launched Pago in 2017 with the intention of giving those who use it more time for the really important things, and with this campaign we are taking the next step, offering the possibility of saving money that would have gone on bills for a whole year.” – Adrian Cighi, CEO and co-founder Pago

Full details about the contest are available on treabadesteapta.ro, pago.ro or in the Pago app.

The “Smart Job” campaign starts on 22.11.2021 with a medievel themed TV spot that tells how Vodă paid his bills in 1512, when there was no Pago, followed by 3 other spots that will be launched online in the coming weeks. It is the first campaign of its kind for Pago.

Campaign supported by Visa Romania. ”Romanians have increasingly focused on online and contactless card payments, especially in the last year and a half, and the payment of utility bills is among the top payments in online commerce. Now it’s easier and faster than ever to pay a bill, directly from your phone, tablet or computer, if your card details are saved in the Pago app. These payments benefit from increased security thanks to Visa tokenization technology, by removing sensitive payment account information and securely connecting Visa accounts to connected devices. Through our campaign with Pago, we want to reward those who choose to make digital payments quickly and securely, and to encourage other users to adopt this payment behavior.” – Elena Ungureanu, Country Manager Visa Romania

Pago was launched in 2017 and with the help of Pago, users can pay their bills or local taxes, top-up their phones, pay RCA and travel insurances or donate to causes, and view their payment history, directly from their phone, in just a few seconds. More than 380 local and national utility providers are available in the app. The app can be downloaded for free from Google Play, App Store or Huawei AppGallery. Pago is also available in Poland and is soon to be launched in Italy. All your payments in one app.
